Experts in the field of medical genetics are preparing to gather in Bengaluru this December for the 11th Annual Conference of the Society for Indian Academy of Medical Genetics (SIAMG).
Hosted at Narayana Health City, the event is operating under the timely theme: “Precision Genomics – Care for Rare.”
The conference, which runs from December 10th to 13th, 2026, arrives at a critical juncture as India seeks to integrate advanced genomic sequencing into routine clinical care. By bringing together clinicians, researchers, and international collaborators, the summit aims to bridge the gap between complex laboratory data and tangible patient outcomes.
The four-day itinerary is designed to move from foundational learning to high-level international strategy:
- Pre-Conference Workshop (Dec 10)
- The Main Conference (Dec 11–12)
- RARE Summit (Dec 13): The final day features the SIAMG-IndoUS Bridging RARE Summit, a collaborative effort intended to foster global research networks and share cross-border expertise.
Organizing Team
The event is organized under the leadership of Dr. S J Patil, Senior Consultant in Clinical Genetics at Narayana Health City. Dr. Patil is joined by a coalition of prestigious institutions, including the JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research and the Organization for Rare Diseases India (ORDI).
